Timbashield Golden 5 litre

Description

Timbashield is a premium solvent based wood treatment, combining colour pigmentation and waterproofing protection from a blend of oils and waxes.

It may be used on most outdoor timber and is recommended for use on sheds, fences, decking and general garden furniture.

The colour represented in the brochure and on the label is applicable for dry, smooth planed timber based on in house testing. However, a variance in of quality, absorbency and moisture content of the wood being treated will ultimately affect the finish and final depth of colour.

Different types of wood will also affect the final shade and depth of colour.

The product, when applied to smooth planed wood may appear a lot lighter than if the same product was used on rough sawn wood. We would always recommend that the user apply Timbashield to a small inconspicuous area (and allow to dry) prior to extensive use. Following this test, should you wish to achieve a lighter finish it is recommended that the product is diluted with our Timbashield Clear to achieve your colour preference.

Please note: this product is flammable. Also note, rub resistance of colour must be tested on harder wood and garden furniture to ensure no pigment transfer prior to contact with clothing etc.

Timbashield® can be brushed, sprayed or dipped depending on your requirements.

Per 1 Litre of Timbashield® the following coverage rates can be advised;

Smooth planed wood: up to 12m² with 1 coat

Rough sawn wood: up to 8m² with 1 coat

Redecoration: up to 12m² with 1 coat

Please note that coverage may be less on absorbent wood and that 2 coats may be required for initial treatment depending on depth of colour desired.
